Primitive Reason

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Alternative Prison
Clever title. Clever lyrics. Catchy hummable songs with a bouncy hip-hop like rhythm.
It's clear immediately after the first listen that Primitive Reason are not in any
alternative prison like so many contemporary bands today. This music is not for everyone,
but it is fairly unique. Primitive Reason are from Portugal, and that might be the reason
why they're not bound by the traditional approaches to songwriting that most contemporary
groups are. The band mixes ska, reggae, funk, and some hip-hip with an hard edge to create
an eclectic sound. This band is definitely worth checking out if you're into bands like
UB40, Sting, and the Mighty Mighty Bosstones.
